Logan Bright — Works

fresh first drafts, daily

Tag: summer

poem: fall has come (and gone) again

fall has come (and gone) again
in one bombastic day
sky congealed with clouds of iron
rough, unburnished grey
breezes pull a blanket ’round
my bare (but hairy) legs
asking, “Where’s the summer at?”
drapes pulled against its dregs
sunshine, rise again tomorrow,
I’ll be at the reigns!

poem: summer offers sun and storms

summer offers sun and storms
spring has left me chilled
fall could bring another wave
by winter, I’ll be killed!
