zdbd – America Drinks

Best appreciated in conjunction with its reprise, America Drinks and Goes Home, coming later on the record, this song is a short, blunderous jazz affair, set to an insistent, chipper hi-hat, an overbearing stand-up bass, and arrythmic piano chords. A gravelly voice occasionally interjects with lines like “Here’s one for your mother,” and the tune concludes with a psychedelic freakout, from circus to digital weirdness over the course of 25 seconds, before crashing out.
