1 The electric tower
originally an electric tower conveying cables across mighty distances
now a perch for scouting: an improvised crow’s nest
with a dented satellite dish relaying a radio signal from elsewhere
This rusted electrical tower is devoid both wires and neighbours. Near the peak is a crow’s nest built of corrugated tin and cardboard. A rotted wooden ladder scales the tower, reaching all the way to the triangular top, which bears a small satellite dish. The dish reroutes and spreads propagandistic messages from a religious organisation.
